
Global Happiness: Exploring Well-Being, Social Bonds, and Trends Across the Globe
This IEW keynote features leading experts on global happiness and wellbeing. While presenting key findings on global trends in happiness, this webinar digs deeper into several areas including what happiness means and how it has been measured across time and space, and key factors shaping well-being worldwide. Special emphasis will be placed on the role that social connections and meaningful relationships play in enhancing happiness. This webinar will also showcase practical interventions—both policy-driven and personal—that are key to elevating happiness. Speakers include Dr. Lara B. Aknin, Distinguished professor of Social Psychology and Director of the Helping and Happiness Lab at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada and Editor of the World Happiness Report and Dr. Alberto Prati, Assistant Professor in Economics at the University College London and Research Fellow of the Wellbeing Research Centre at University of Oxford. Farida Jalalzai, Associate Dean of Global Initiatives and Engagement in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences will moderate.
