Add an Event
To login to the calendar system please go to https://events.liberalarts.vt.edu/event-dashboard/ and select “Sign in” – login with your VT credentials.
When you login to the calendar system you will see the Event Dashboard with a list of your events. You can click the + button on the right side to add a new event.
You will then get various fields to enter in your event information. Any field with a red asterisk is a required field. You can then select “Preview” at the bottom to preview your event.
After previewing your event you can click “Submit Listing” to publish it on the calendar. All CLAHS events will show up here: https://liberalarts.vt.edu/calendar.html
Adding an Image to an Event
Step one:
After navigating to the calendar login and dashboard: https://events.liberalarts.vt.edu/event-dashboard/
You will be able to add an image to an event by entering the URL under “Event Image”
Step two:
Go to the selected image that you want to use
NOTE: ONLY images owned by Virginia Tech will be accepted (i.e., from Virginia Tech owned webpages, from the University Photo Library, Virginia Tech Department owned photos, etc.)
Step three:
Add the photo to the URL field in the calendar dashboard.
- On the photo you are wanting to use, ‘Right click’ (control + click, for Mac) and select ‘Copy Image Address’
- Paste that in the Image URL field under “Event Image”
Step four:
Once you have filled out all the necessary information for your event, select “preview”
Step five:
Once you have confirmed in “preview” that your event is correct, select “Submit Listing.”
Step six:
After submission, you will receive a confirmation notification on screen, you will then be able to view your listing.
